DOGS OF HAWAII, WE NEED YOU!
Each year, professional pet photographers around the world unite to raise funds for animal rescue. Tails of the World is an annual international photography book celebrating dogs from around the globe. Featuring stunning portraits by professional pet photographers, each edition showcases local dogs in their hometowns - from bustling cities to breathtaking landscapes.
Founded by Caitlin J. McColl, this collaborative project brings photographers together with a shared mission: to make a difference for pets in need and to spread joy through beautiful photography and heartwarming stories.
All proceeds from book sales are donated to charity, and to date, the project has raised over $170,000 for pet rescue.
NOW FOR THE GREAT NEWS!
Crystal R Photography has been selected as one of Hawai’i’s official 2025 photographer and we’re now taking applications for limited edition Tails of the World: 2025 Edition photoshoots. The photography sessions will occur on Hawai’i Island, showcasing the essence of aloha, local culture, and scenic spots in Hilo.
100% of these session fees are donated to the Hawai’i Island Humane Society and one photo from each session is guaranteed to be included in the book. This beautiful book is a celebration of pets around the world with all proceeds donated to animal rescue. All proceeds from the book sales will be donated to Geelong Animal Welfare Society. You’ll also have the opportunity to view and purchase keepsake photographic artwork from your unique pet photoshoot.

~ Dates available: LAST WEEK OF JUNE (will be notified upon confirmation).
~ 100% of the Session Donation goes to Hawai’i Island Humane Society.
~ Sessions take place in Hilo, Hawai’i and take up to 30 minutes.
~ Up to 2 dogs in your family are welcome to attend.
~ One image from each session will be included in the Tails of the World book (available to order online in November).
~ You’ll receive one digital copy of the selected image.
